It depends on what drugs and what procedures you will need. The only way to find out is to talk to your doctor.
Fertility treatment can very VERY expensieve. BUT if you can go to Mexico canada , or anywhere in the middle east you can get them for about $3 a month or less. They are almost free there because the government doesnt interfere with medications. You have to sneek it in the country , not really that hard at all. Driving from mexico and canada is easier than if you are flying. Good luck
It also depends on what kind of fertility drugs you need. Some are not that much because they are use and older and you can get them in generic forms. That would be like the Comid will be less then IVF drugs. I am doing IVF at the end of the year and the drugs will be almost 3000.00 for one cycle. IUD will be around 700.00 a cycle.
Talk to your OBGYN or RE Specialist they will give you a better idea of the cost.
Best Wishes and Baby Dust.
It depends on what they put you on and for how long. When I was a surrogate the 1st time around the meds cost $1400. There are places you can get them online but there’s a risk to that of course..
Check your area for any study groups on infertility and see if you qualify. All meds and treatment are paid for through that!! It is worth a shot! You can always get the medical loans with little or no interest, I think through Capital One. It took me 3 years on fertility drugs to get pregnant. Buy a St Gerrard medal, got preg 2x wearing that. I know that sounds really nutty and radical but, it worked. I tried for 7 years and got pregnant each time after wearing the medal. I recently parted with it and hope the next person has my luck. My treatments, IUI was $400 each time the drugs were fortunately covered but would have cost $2200 each cycle. Good luck!
I was taking clomid and my insurance quit covering it. The pharmacy that I was using (a national chain) when it was covered by insurance was going to charge over $120 for 21 tabs (that was one month at the dose I was taking). I called ALL the pharmacies in the area and found that prices ranged from $38 to $150 for the same thing. The local independent pharmacy charged a lot less. You might be able to save money by shopping around when you need to purchase your meds.
Ours aren’t covered by insurance either. Do you have a medical reimbursement plan? We’ve found that useful to help pay for meds not covered.
Good luck!
