hey, guess what, you’re going to get fat. it’s called pregnancy, don’t starve your baby
I know it can be done, only with a diet in south africa called weighless, not sure if it is international.
otherwise see a dietician to give you an eating plan.
good luck!
NO!!!!! You’re going to gain weight while preg. don’t diet that fat helps the baby. Your baby has to eat too.
Ha ha, I bet your baby will like diet food then.
NO!
Ask a doctor to be sure.
nooo
i doubt it. i would ask a professional. ask your doctor or someone.
It would probably be better to do exercise rather than dieting. You are supposed to enjoy being pregnant and eating all the things you want when you want them (within reason). I would save the dieting until after wards. If you do want to do some exercise, make sure it’s not too vigorous.
You really shouldn’t diet when you are pregnant. You could just try to eat healthier and not so much junk and that would help you not to gain too much. Save the dieting for after your baby is born. Congrats on the pregnancy.
Darling its 9 months, think about the baby before you! (when it comes to this kind of stuff)
Your baby will need all the good food he/she can get!
If your that worried then try yoga for pregnant women.. or you could just wait until the baby is born that way its much safer!
It is okay to diet while pregnant… but most people wouldnt because your baby need as much nutrients as possible… and if your worried about weight then work hard AFTER to work it off… dont risk it.
in the end its your choice. i HOPE this helps
While you shouldn’t lose weight while dieting, if you are over weight, and you start eating a healthy diet, some women have lost weight, because they aren’t taking in a bunch of empty calories. I’d talk to your doctor about how many calories a pregnant woman needs a day and then aim for that. Its not much, about 500 more a day than you are taking in when not pregnant. About the calories in a sandwich and an apple. Good luck!
don’t be stupid hun you know its not safe or your wouldn’t be seeking approval. enjoy your pregnancy
No, diets aren’t safe during pregnancy.
Instead, change WHAT you eat. When you want a snack, eat carrots or green peppers instead of chips.
you will gain weight regardless. but you should not starve your baby. most of the weight you gain during pregnancy is the fetus. and if you do gain more weight then you can get rid of. breast feed, it burns 800 calories everytime you nurse, AND you dont have periods the whole time you breastfeed. and to keep the excess weight that isnot the fets, walk regularly. just maes sure to eat nutritions fods maybe not high in fat. go on a vegetarian diet or a proxitarian diet (:
No, please do not diet while pregnant. Your baby needs all the nutrition they can. I would not be concerned about loosing weight during pregnancy. As long as you eat well, drink lots of water, and exercise, you will stay healthy and not put on any additional weight ( apart from baby.) Worry about dieting when bubs is born.
Pregnancy is NOT the time to restrict your diet. You don’t need to eat for 2, but you need to make wise choices about the kind of food you eat. Eat healthy foods, not junk. Your body needs about 300 additional calories to sustain a healthy pregnancy.
Save the weight loss effort for after the baby’s birth. Poor prenatal nutrition has many nasty side effects, including possible brain damage. Imagine how you would feel if your baby was born with birth defects that you could have prevented through proper nutrition!
Just eat healthier – it will benefit your baby as well, and will help keep the pounds low. Also do a lot of walking and pregnancy yoga (you can buy a dvd anywhere). They say when you are pregnant you only need to be eating an additional 300 calories to your diet which could be a yogurt with granola or some avacado. Don’t believe the “eating for 2″ line – that’s why some pregnant women can get so big and it’s harder to loose the weight after the baby comes. I had a very heatlhy first pregnancy and only gained 27 lbs and lost the weight only 2 weeks after giving birth (breast feeding helps!). Best of luck!
just eat alot of healthy foods while your pregnant. it will make loosing weight after alot easier.
I lost weight when I was pregnant but that was because I was sick the one time and the other time I just felt like eating better. I wouldn’t't suggest going on a diet, just try eating some healthier things, lots of fruit and veggies, take your vitamins, but whatever you do don’t start some major exercise regime or don’t take diet tabs.
Don’t stress, pregnancy is a wonderful time to eat and get fat
NO ITS NOT SAFE
Diet is a stress for your organism, and as every stress, it is bad for pregnant.
oh dear…. this is your top concern? Are you really ready to have a baby – you do realise that when your pregnant women expand, and actually get bigger?
Anyways…
You need to make sure that you eat much MORE in the way of nutrients to ensure maximum benefits for your poor unborn child… (who probably will be a bit chubby!)
HOWEVER this doesnt mean to say that you might not lose weight – particularly if your diet is very bad now. But the chances are slim – you need to gain at least 20 lb to cope with the babies weight, weight of the placenta, blood, extra water etc, and thats if you maintain your current weight throughout. Many women feel much hungrier during pregnancy, and some retain alot of water too, both of these can cause weight gain.
it is never safe to diet during pregnancy – the only diet you should be on, is eating much much more in the way of vitamins, fruits, pulses etc, and ensuring your reserves in all the other food groups is kept high..
dieting will only hurt your baby, and probably not help your ego (you have to accept that you will get fat!) so have 9 months OFF and then you can diet all you like after the baby comes..
You should not even try to lose weight while you’re pregnant. That’s stupid. You could endanger your baby and yourself. To keep the pounds down, make every bite count. Get enough calories and stuff, but eat healthy.
SERIOUSLY WHAT DO U THINK???….why are u worrying about weight at a time like this anyway??
You are getting a lot of different answers and people are going back and forth, yes-no or good-bad. I want to share an actual experience.
My mother was already over weight when she became pregnant for the second time (5 ft 3 in & 170 lbs/77.3 kg). She had gained a lot during her first pregnancy, and did not shed the weight after. She did not want to gain a lot this time around. She discussed it with her Doctor, and the doctor allowed Mom to “diet”, but she had to come in for more frequent visits and have her blood drawn every week. My mothers diet plan was approximately 2000-2500 calories a day of healthy foods. No candy or junk food. She did take her prenatal vitamins and extra calcium and iron. At term, she had gained 1 lb/0.5 kg. My sister was a healthy 7 lb baby.
Now this was 36 years ago, and many will disagree, and I’m sure I’ll get quite a few thumbs down. My advice is talk to your doctor. He may be able to refer you to a dietitian/nutritionist who can help you with a healthy eating plan. You should not be trying loose weight at this time, but if you are significantly over weight, eating healthy foods in the right amounts may prevent you from gaining an excessive amount of weight.
I wouldnt suggest LOSING weight while pregnant just maintaining so you dont gain a lot… Try pregnancy exercises and watch what you eat make sure you are getting the nutrients you need start eating healthier now and exercising and after the baby you will be on the right track..
