did anyone have success getting pregnant after going on a diet or losing weight?


did you have trouble ttc and got pregnant after going on a low gi diet, or low carb diet etc, and losing weight? just looking for some inspiration….any tips would be helpful. thanks!

p.s how long did it take on the diet, how much weight did you lose etc? thanks again!

    Yes. I was on a diet from April 2008 until August 2008. I lost 20 lbs during that time, and ended up conceiving August 12. My diet wasn’t really low carb though. I was working with a personal trainer and could only eat 1400 calories a day. I pretty much ate what I wanted as long as I stayed within 1400 calories.

    I wasn’t on a “diet” but I got pregnant about a month after I graduated boot camp and had lost 20 pounds. First try lol, what a reunion with the hubby ;-) I had also gone off birth control just 3 months prior so anything is possible. Good luck ;-)

    Yes, I lost about 50 pounds over 16 months. I went off of the pill when my hubby and I got married and continued to exercise and lose weight. I lost another 15 pounds and got pregnant.

    i fell after changing my lifestyle habits ie eating better, drinking less, not smoking, not going as much, my husband changed all his habits as well

    I gained alot of weight (70 pounds) after I had my son. It caused me not to have a period & therefore I wasnt ovulating.
    At the beginning of this year I started dieting & excersing. By May I lost 30 pounds. & In June I found out that I was pregnant!
    Sadly I went on to lose that baby. But we tried for 2 years & finally get pregnant after I lose weight!

    I started Weight Watchers on July 2nd and lost 10 lbs by the time I conceived this baby on August 7th. I feel as if I was eating healthy, excercising lightly and that helped condition my body to help make the magic happen. We had been trying for months before and had great success after a month of being with the Weight Watchers program. I felt great and had a positive attitude – i think that really helped. Good Luck!
