I want to have another baby, but i want to lose weight as well.. If i get pregnant now, the baby will be due around the same time of my husbands birthday, but i don’t want to get too fat.. Can i go a diet, not a very strict one just enough to not make me gain weight or lose weight and just gain what i lost… is that even possible?
I just want to eat healthier but i’m sure once my diet changes, i’ll lose some weight because right now i eat out alot..

    NO dieting WHILE pregnant.

    Dieting UNTIL pregnant is fine.

I’m sure the poor baby doesn’t want to go on a diet.

yeah its called the pregnancy diet… really come one now you should know the answer you can eat healthy there is nothing wrong with that but dont cut out calories you could lose the baby or have it early. Just work your butt off when you have the baby

  4. Jamie [ proud wife & mommy of 3] says:

No dieting while pregnant, but you can watch what you eat as in eating healthy food, lots of fruits and veggies and stay away from the really fattening things, so you will still gain weight for your baby but hopefully most of the weight you gain will be from the baby, uterus, amniotic fluid, breasts, etc.

  5. georgestraitfan says:

NO—you and your baby need optimum nutrition throughout the whole time. All you need to do is eat your fruits and veggies, etc., and after you give birth & after you get through breastfeeding, THEN you can go on a diet. Good luck with your next pregnancy.

NO YOU CAN NOT DIET WHILE PREGNANT!!!
So your diesting before you get pregnant and just keep a healthy food and excersise rooutine during pregnancy.
Dieting will only hurt the poor baby and cause health problems for him/her.

And as for shrimp my doctor said you can eat cooked shrimp but not raw shrimp.

    Good luck

Well its not good to go on a diet. All I can recommend is to eat healthy salads pasta. Try not to eat fast food. If you are that worried about being skinny for your husbands birthday maybe you should wait so you don’t have to worry about it. When you get pregnant you shouldnt be worried about that stuff.

  8. USMCgrlandMommy says:

    NO dieting!!!!!!

You can however take advantage of eating right. You can eat shrimp.

Stop eating out and you will see weight loss since eating out is not healthy.

Exercise, like walking daily and eat fruits and veggies.

SO DO NOT DIET. Okay hun, good luck

just eating healthier is fine i am eating healthier than i did when i was not pregnant i am now 14weeks andthey sa my baby is a big very healthy baby GIRL!! I would not ever start a actual diet though doing the whole no carbs, south beach, la weight loss, or only eating certain food is not god you need all the food groups but i would stop the sugar and caffene i stopped dr pepper for 3 months when we were thinking about trying and i have not had a dr pepper in about 6 months or so. i dont drink anything with caffene i drink water and lots of powerade and gatorade. i eat just bout no sweets and eat lots of fruit and i am 14 weeks about 3 and half months and i hav yet to gain a single lbd. actually ihave lost 2 lbs.

You can eat healthy as long as you arent reducing your calorie intake and make sure you get at least 300 extra calories a day. And yes you can eat shell fish i just wouldnt overdo it.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm……….i think that it might be hard going on a diet while pregnant but start now and then concive so after having the baby all you have to loose is baby fat which will be easy

  12. skeptical says:

    NO!

But if you eat a healthful diet, you may lose weight anyway.

I would avoid shrimp. Too much chance of mercury.

Maybe now isnt the time to get preg, go on the diet first and become a healthy weight. Then have a baby. Pregnancy is so unpredictable. You may vomit all 9 months or you could have such an increased appetite that you need to eat to meet the demand of the baby. Your baby comes first not a diet.

  14. 6-Gun Annie says:

You should not go on a weight loss diet. Eat a healthy diet and take your prenatal vitamins. DO not take more than the recommended vitamins (by your doctor) because some vitamins can be toxic to the baby if you overdose on them. SO be careful! If you eat a balanced diet recommended by your doctor, you should be fine. Don’t go on a weight loss diet.
