How likely is it to get pregnant if your IUD shifts?
I have had my mirena in for almost 18 months and am 99% sure it shifted during a little rough intercourse. I was wondering though if it did how likely it would be for me to get pregnant?

The IUD is still releasing the same amount of hormones into your body, no matter what position it’s in. I’m sure you’re fine.
IUD’s are getting more controversial due to the fact that they can shift position and you are likely to get pregnant. I know from experience trust me. I would switch birth control or have your doctor talk to you about it. Where I live it is about 4000 in population and in one month 4-5 people got pregnant with an iud.
IF U GOT PREGNANT WHILE HAVING IUD, TRUST ME YOU WILL KNOW BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE A TUBILATION PREGNANCY. WITH IUD U CANT GET PREGNANT THRU CERVIX. AND IF U GET PREGNANT WITH IUD YOULL BE IN MAJOR PAIN.
I got my IUD put in and not even a week after it was put in it shifted and i was having major cramps and i was misserable,when they removed it they where suprised that i wasnt pregnant cause it was just barely in there. Dont think that because its there that you are fully protected. I would either get it fixed or get on a new birth control
