Infertility is the inability to get pregnant. There are a wide range of factors that cause infertility, which may prevent couples from conceiving. One-third of problems can be attributed to the woman, one-third to the man and the remaining one-third are attributed to both. In women, ovulation disorders can prevent the ovaries from releasing a healthy egg.
In men, problems with abnormal sperm production or function can cause infertility.
In some case, both the man and women may have specific infertility problems that cause them not to get pregnant.
